About Me

David O'Regan pixel profile

My name is David O'Regan, and I will be attending Virginia Tech starting in the Fall of 2023. I was first introduced to programming during the summer before ninth grade, at a summer camp. During that camp, I discovered a new passion for game and software development. My growing passion for programming led me to take AP & IB Computer Science through high school, as well as extra courses with Virginia Tech, iD Tech, and MIT. On 2 June 2022, I earned the NOCTI Knowledge-Based Workforce Competency Credential for passing the NOCTI Computer Programming industry-based certification. The projects that I have created can be found in the Portfolio tab, as well as my Github page.

In 2019 and 2020, I was a member of the George Mason Game Programming Club, and it was there that I learned about Unity and the work that goes into the process of game development. In 2021, I joined FRC Team 1418 as a programmer. During the 2022-2023 season of the FRC, I served as the Captain of 1418's programing team. Throughout highschool, I have also participated in the US Air Force's CyberPatriots XIV & XV competitions.
